About KOICA – Korea International Cooperation Agency

Founded in 1991, the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) is a government entity committed to implementing Korea’s grant aid initiatives. Its primary goal is to cultivate amicable and collaborative ties, as well as facilitate mutual exchanges with partner nations by extending assistance for their socioeconomic progress. KOICA engages in various programs, such as the Fellowship Program, Korea Volunteer Dispatching Program, Humanitarian Assistance & Disaster Relief, Public-Private Partnership, and Bilateral and Multilateral Projects, to contribute to the development of its partner countries.

About KOICA Scholarship

The KOICA Scholarship Program is designed to train key leaders in partner countries to contribute to the socio-economic development of their home countries.
KOICA is offering 20 master’s programs and 5 doctorate programs in 2024. This announcement
is for 15 programs only. Application guidelines for 10 more courses will be provided during March.

KOICA Scholarship Admission Process

  • Step1. Submission of Application Documents and Government Nomination
  • Step2. KOICA Country Office(Korean Embassy) On-site Interview in your home country
  • Step3. Document Screening by the University
  • Step4. Local Medical Check-up and Interview (and/or Test) conducted by the university
  • Step5. Arrival in Korea, Orientation and Medical Check-up in Korea
  • Step6. Commencement of the degree Program
  • Step7. Return to the home country

*All steps will proceed for those who have passed the previous step.

KOICA Scholarship Eligible Countries

Applicants are required to hold citizenship in the designated countries listed below. The Korean government (KOICA) selects these countries from the OECD DAC List of ODA Recipients. The compilation of designated countries is subject to annual revisions in accordance with the policies set forth by the Korean government (KOICA).
